Valentina Lurye registered Dietitian

Evidence-Based Nutrition. Compassionate Care. Real Results.

Nutrition isn't just about what’s on your plate; it’s about finding a sustainable path that honours your unique medical needs and lifestyle.

As a Registered Dietitian with over 15 years of international experience, I bridge the gap between complex clinical science and your daily life.

Whether you are managing a chronic condition, recovering from surgery, or simply looking for the best way to nourish yourself and your growing family, I provide the expert guidance and personalised counselling you need to thrive.

About

Hi, I’m Valentina, an experienced Registered Dietitian who believes nutrition care should feel personal.

Since 2010, I’ve supported people in clinical and community settings, helping them navigate health challenges and make sense of nutrition information. My goal is to get to know you, including your medical history, routines, food preferences, cultural background, and what matters most to you.

Together, we can turn evidence-based nutrition advice into practical changes that fit your life.

I hold a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of British Columbia, and my experience spans acute hospital care, diabetes management, and transplant clinics. This background helps me translate complex research into clear, individualized guidance, whether you’re managing a medical condition or working toward a personal health goal.

You can read more about my professional experience here.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me hiking, running, skiing, or spending time with my two very active sons. As a parent with an active lifestyle, I value nutrition strategies that work in everyday life, not just on paper.

How does it work?

All sessions are held virtually, so you can join from the comfort of your home or even during a lunch break from work, without the time or cost of commuting and parking.

After scheduling your session, I’ll send you an intake questionnaire to help me understand your goals, lifestyle, and health history so I can come prepared and make our time together as effective as possible.

The first session lasts 60 minutes and includes a full assessment and personalised recommendations.

Afterwards, you’ll receive a written summary of what we discussed and an initial plan to guide your next steps. If you’d like ongoing support, follow‑up sessions can be scheduled based on your needs and my recommendations.

How Much Does it Cost?

The initial session is 60 minutes and costs 200 CAD and includes a detailed nutrition assessment, discussion of your goals, and a personalised plan with a written summary to guide next steps.

Follow‑up sessions last 45 minutes and cost 150 CAD. They are designed to review your progress, adjust your plan, and provide ongoing support as needed.

All sessions must be paid in full before the scheduled appointment. You will receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement, as most extended health insurance plans cover up to 500 CAD per year for registered dietitian services.
